steps to a fairer skin 2

I always believe that one of the essential ways to have a fairer skin is by applying sunscreen. Especially at Kampar where there are lakes all around, UV rays could easily reflects off of water and get tanned must quicker than other places ='( People with deeply pigmented skin, who rarely burn, should use sunscreen too. Even on a cloudy day,the clouds only block out the sun but not the UV rays. Maybe you will say that, cheh im still young ma, apply more mask then my skin will be fairer in a short time. But you will never know how much melanin has been accumulated under your skin until one day they all secretly climb up your face and you finally have freckles.

Many people thought that once you applied sunscreen, the next minute you are safe to be at outdoor. It's definitely a NO as you have to apply the sunscreen 30 minutes before you are going out so that it can be absorbed by the skin and less likely to wash off when you perspire.

And what is SPF? Sun Protection Factor gives you an idea of how long you can stay in the sun before getting burned. For instance, SPF of 15 lets you stay out 15 times longer than if you didn't have any sunscreen.

Few of these sunscreen are some i've tried before. Others i've already thrown the bottles. For the both Kose sunscree, of course i couldnt afford them. It's mummy who bought for me. But i reckon that the small blue colour bottle one is too oily for teenagers.I had acne problem after applying it >.<

For a more affordable series, i would strongly recommend Biore one. If you mostly stay indoor, SPF 25 (the green colour one) is the right one for you. Since it is in gel based, you could feel the freshness after applying it. I personally love the purple one because it's formulated to lock the hydration in your skin especially in air-conditioning room. But too bad it's not for sale in Malaysia and i could only buy it from Thailand. So, the blue one will be my alternative after the purple one is finished.

But one thing to remind, one of the strong ingredients in Biore sunscreen is Alcohol. Hence, moisturing step is very important to ensure that your skin will not be dehydrated by the alcohol ;)

steps to a fairer skin

it's saturday again =)
weekends for me are meant for relaxing at home most of the time, putting all the problems aside and enjoy the temporary peacefulness i have.
during weekend, i also love to take my own sweet time to do mask at home.
i always cant live without mask but sometimes after you have been busy for the whole day, you probably just too lazy to apply one and straight go to bed after the everyday skin care process.but if you want to have a fairer skin, maybe you should try this out more frequently

the mask im using is pearl barley and mung bean mask powder 绿豆薏仁面膜粉
it's easily available at any traditional chinese shop all around Malaysia ;)
pearl barley and mung bean mask powder has the strong effect on whitening,be it by internally or externally. to enhance on the effect, i will use milk together with the mask powder. last year when i went to sunway lost world with friends, i got tanned badly and had sun burned
yet i applied this mask everyday for 1 week and after that 2-3 times a week, i really became fairer! besides that, many girls have been giving this good review that this mask can cure pimples! hmm , i seldom experience break out as im actually blessed with a quite good skin so i dont know how efficient it is. hehe

it's really an impossible task to be fairer in just 1month time but i did. =)

First of all , you need a set of mask tools. it's simply available at any beauty shops. in Ipoh you can get it from the shop opposite Jusco watsons
while for KL, you can get it from the two most competitive beauty shops in sg. wang. (neh, the two that always have 50% discount one =p). this set of tools cost me RM6 after 50% discount. tehee. cheap right? =D

okay, let's get us started. first of all, put in two scopes of mask powder with 1 scope of milk. stir it thoroughly and there you go, ready to apply it on your face! isnt it easy? but i know, it still consider to be troublesome if compare to other cloth-mask. but hey, it's much cheaper and it's something natural that's lying on face, not any chemical extraction of natural sources! you can also use it as body scrubbing! it works in whitening too! but i reckon it takes a longer time than the face =)

does your heart get itchy? maybe you should try on it instead!! =D

EPO

Most of my friend would know that i always have irregular menstrual period.
for the longest period of not having menstrual, i think im not going to tell you here as i am a little worried most of you would get shocked furthermore it's part of my privacies =)

i've consulted both doctor and traditional Chinese doctor before, and i had been consumed chinese medicine for 2 years. while the western doctor said im still young and need not to consume on hormone pill as it has side effect. people always said in a joking way that i could save a lot on the sanitary pad. but they never knew how much my mum had spent on my chinese medicine. i consulted the traditional chinese doctor twice a month, each time buying RM68 of medicines. you do the math.

until lately i chose to stop my chinese medicine and try another option.

evening primrose oil a.k.a EPO

actually back in A-levels mum has already bought me one but you know, lazy lazy.... i was always lazy and didnt bother to touch it. until recently i know that i couldnt just put this matter aside 'cause im already 22! i need to have a healthier body. so i started to have this EPO pill once a day. miraculously, my menstrual was a least more frequent this year though still not once a month =)

some of the Benefits of EPO :
  • A rich natural source of GLA which can help maintain hormonal balance ( gamma-linoleic acid aka GLA is often recommended to help ease the discomforts of PMS
  • To prevent cancer and heart disease
  • Helps maintain healthy skin, hair and nails
  • Helps keep joints supple and flexible
There are actually a lot more, google if you are interested

However, there are still some subtle side effects too
  • Possible bloating i faced this !
  • Gastrointestinal upset and this too D:
  • It's not recommended for pregnant women as it may alter the composition of breast milk

This EPO supplement is for sale in guardian yeah.if you are facing menstrual irregularities, you might try this out.and i've heard the Efamol is a good brand too =)
